The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has appealed to the people across the country to pray for the speedy recovery of its Chairperson and former Prime Minister, Begum Khaleda Zia.

Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP media cell, confirmed the information to BSS, stating that he visited Evercare Hospital at 1:00 pm and met with Begum Khaleda Zia’s personal physician and Standing Committee Member, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain.

According to Dr. Zahid, Begum Khaleda Zia is currently receiving treatment under close medical supervision in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). Her care is being managed by a medical board composed of both local and international specialist doctors, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of her health condition.

The BNP emphasized that her treatment is ongoing, and the party is coordinating with the medical team to ensure that she receives the necessary care. Officials also highlighted that regular updates regarding her condition would be communicated to the public as advised by her physicians.

Begum Khaleda Zia, who has previously faced various health challenges, continues to be monitored closely by the hospital’s cardiology team. Her treatment in the CCU allows for continuous observation of her cardiovascular and overall health status, with interventions available immediately if required.
