Kamala Harris said on Wednesday Donald Trump was a fascist and called her US election rival “increasingly unstable” as she addressed his reported praise for Adolf Hitler at a town hall event.

The Democrat’s fierce criticism came as she faced voters’ questions on Trump’s suitability for office at the CNN-hosted event in must-win Pennsylvania.

Asked by CNN host Anderson Cooper if she thought Trump was a “fascist,” Harris quickly responded: “Yes, I do. And I also believe that the people who know him best on this subject should be trusted.”

The vice president’s comments on Trump were provoked by revelations from his longest-serving chief of staff, John Kelly, who discussed the Republican’s praise for the Nazi dictator and his military in World War II.

The decorated Iraq veteran told The New York Times that Trump remarked that “Hitler did some good things too” and that instead of the US military, he “wanted generals like Adolf Hitler had.”বিস্তারিত
