The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to lower their warning signals as the severe cyclonic storm ‘Montha’ over the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas has moved further north-northwestward and weakened gradually, bringing rainfall to the region.
According to the latest updates, the cyclone crossed Andhra Pradesh coast of India around midnight on Tuesday and now lies over Andhra Pradesh and its adjoining areas.
